Entertainment, Media to grow 12.4% till 2014
India's entertainment and media industry will grow at an annual pace of 12.4% during 2010-14 to Rs.1.04 trillion, said advisory firm Price-waterhouse Coopers, (PwC) marking a sharp upward shift from 2009.
Private FM channels to be allowed to broadcast news
Private FM radio channels will soon be allowed to broadcast news sourced from All India Radio (AIR), an official said Monday.
FM radio channels will be able to carry news "in a short time as they will be allowed to broadcast news bulletins of the All India Radio unaltered," said Rajiv Takru, additional secretary in the information and broadcasting ministry.
